Morning Coffee - The Routine of Life

"Be thou there till I bring thee word" (Matt. 2:13)
"Oh restless heart, that beat against your prison bars of circumstances, yearning for a wider sphere of usefulness, leave God to order all your days. Patience and trust, in the dullness of the routine of life, will be the best preparation for a courageous bearing of the tug and strain of the larger opportunity which God may some time send you."
Streams in the Desert
Mrs. Chas. E. Cowman
It’s good to remember that our routine circumstances have a purpose and that patience and trust are the key to serving that purpose.  Time for a second cup of coffee and a reflection on the routine ahead of me today.

  1. Good thing to be reminded of, during the "cabin fever" period of a long and lingering winter!

  2. 'leave God to order all your days..' I'll be thinking about that more intensely today. Off to get my mid-morning cup of - something - tea, perhaps!

  3. I have missed you, dear Sandy! Being on the road made me long for the routine of home!

Are you in snow or rain today??
