Morning Coffee - Experimentally Existing

"Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little course, and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble."
 -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think I’ll pour a second cup and contemplate my existence in this grand experiment called life.

  1. Boy aint that the truth? I know a couple people that want to be control in every situation. I always tell them that something is going to come up to throw a curve into your plans anyway so you might as well try something new. Also tell them that I'll be there to catch them if they fail.

  2. Yeppers. Emerson's words are so true. We never know until we try, do we? Of course, the Mister says there is no such word as "try"; you either do or don't.... Sometimes I don't like his way of thinking! LOL

  4. Googled the word TRY and learned much more about it! I would much rather 'try' to fix something to find out if I can or cannot fix it, to give it an honest effort, than to give up before I even tried. It was in the process of trying that I learned I can ride a bicycle - don't remember how many times I fell and got up again! I'm sure Matty's Mister has 'tried' a lot in his life and now knows what he can or cannot do! He should keep trying - maybe there's more he can do, lol! Love when a post gets me thinking!
